For a reel that you intend to fish over a pound if lead you want to avoid light high speed reels. Large handles are a huge plus as cranking up that much weight all day is no fun. The Penn GTI series is good as are any if the old Penn jig masters or senators. This will probably be a detected rig.

Cool, but I think I will stick with the older technology of using the built in accelerometers in my fingers.  ;)   Every time I am an early adopter, I get burned.  Damn Betamax!
