Ok so I'm in Adak for work. Of course I packed fishing rods!  But no kayak...bummer.

With a little free time I think I'll give it a try from the rock wall.  Lots of greenling. Some black rockfish.  But the fish are huge here.  Some of the biggest I have ever caught AND from shore no less!  They had much more girth than normal, length was not quite as impressive which is a bummer for AOTY. Then I walk into the fish processing plant and I see pacific cod in the 40 pound plus range!!  Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!

I'm staring at flock of 50 ptarmigan as I type.  Very cool place...when it's not blowing 30knts!

1500 bucks for a ticket but use your AK airline miles!  I am going to drag my kayak out here one way or the other for sure!!

The lure in the pics is a one oz krocadiles spoon.

That last fish is beautiful. I've never seen anything like that. Those are some real pigs too. I wish the weather would let up so I could get back on the salt. Nice catch!

There's a Hobie inflatable in your future -- no question.  Kayak as luggage, and not even oversize at that.

ARGHHHHHH.....ya there is no doubt one is in my future....unfortunately for my finances, I feel the same way about a Tandem Island.
