1 1/2 TO 2 HRS. That is taking it easy and fighting of seagulls.

Nice haul!  How do you end up storing that many sandshrimp?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

I break them down in containers with recycled paper towels in the bottom and store them in my refer in the garage. They will last 4-5 days, but the dead ones work good off the jetty. I will be sharing these with another kayaker on saturday for sturgeon fishing. Whats left I will take my daughters and neice to the jetty to fish. The sea trout have been huge this year.

This weekend,  would you be willing to take a photo or two and share how you tie them up on the hook.   I have tried a few different ways using Stretchy String and never with great results with them staying on.   I have a feeling you know some good tricks.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Sure if I remember to. I never used strechy string before but have recently and it works good even in a 7 foot + out going tide. Another good way is old nylons.

BentRod - which jetty have you been fishing from? My BIL has been living down in Rockaway while working on a friend's house. It is a 100yd walk out to the south Nehalem Bay jetty from the house, and he has been fishing it occasionally with no success.
