That swell report is misleading as well.  Click on the ! icon for more info.

That NW swell is growing to 8x8.  :'(

It's called "Shelter" Cove for a reason, Guys.   :D

I made the mistake of skipping the salmon opener in early April because the forecast looked nasty, but lots of boats got outside and the catching was good.  No guarantees of course, but that forecast looks like it'll work out for us.

Here's a vid of being out there in "8x8" swell forecast and nasty winds farther offshore in mid April.  The cove/launch area itself is very protected by the escarpment around Point Delgada, and the entire area is protected by the furthest western point in the continental US, Cape Mendocino, as well as Punta Gorda to the north.
