Just thought i'd pass this idea on that i use so i don't forget important articles needed to Kayak(like a seat). I made a complete list of anything i would ever need when going Kayaking in a word file and i print a copy out the night before to use as a checklist the next morning. For me it's invaluable.

Care to share your list Roy?   This is something that would make a good entry of the NWKA wiki.

I have a small moleskin notebook that I keep with my license.  In it on the first page is my general packing list.  On the next couple pages I have more specific check lists for different types of fishing: rockfish, sturgeon, salmon, etc..

I also keep directions to launches and tackle/bait shops, phone numbers to people I'm fishing with, and  tides for the day.   Sometimes I remember to add a journal entry for the day in the notebook when I'm done fishing to remember the conditions as well as the good times shared with others (I should do that more often).

Good idea, I don't know how many times I left the house and within a mile, had to return home for the Mirage Drive.

I usually pack my thing the night before so I don't forget anything.  I like the preprinted list idea a whole lot better.  This way there is no confusion

When i first made my list, the next time i went out i forgot my seat of all things and i was thinking to myself, so much for the list idea  :-[. when i got home and looked at the list i realized i forgot to put the seat on the list...

Haven't forgot anything since..
