Lake Washington is typically a lot more productive than Lake Union.  Send me a PM and I'll give you some locations that have produced well lately, or join you on Monday.

Well Monday didn't pan out the way I wanted it to, but today did!  Got out and launched from McCurdy/East Montlake Park and paddled over to foster island then across over by the union bay natural area, husky stadium, went through the ship canal over to portage bay and looked at all the yachts... on the way back through the canal I had a big yacht pass me which was a new experience since I caught some of his wake :o survived though... decided to paddle to the other side of 520 and explore and glad I did saw so many cool things, blue herons, ducks, cormorants, turtles, etc., took lots of pics to show the family, so all in all it was an awesome three hour experience and this is the main reason I got my yak is to experience and see things  from a different perspective :icon_thumleft:

I hear ya...part of what I love about kayak fishing is all the cool things you see...up close and personal! you haven't lived until you have a sea lion nab a salmon from you right at the boat...this picture is of a snowy owl (I think) that I slipped up on out on the nisqually delta...just drifted right on by like a chunk of driftwood and got a great picture.
