Looking for ideas for a quick and easy FF mount for my Oasis.

Will be using Shoot through Hull

right now I'm leaning towards mounting it in the front, screwing the ram ball into some 2x4 or a piece of cutting board, and securing that under the front bungee straps.  Then just running under the front hatch with the wires.  (this is temporary for a 2 day trip, pretty need not apply)

Why just add a forward ram ball? Install one just in front of the hatch and run the wires through the hatch cover. Simple and easy and just leave the ball on the boat for future uses.

Or if you really wanted to make it removable, how about using a RAM wedge mount in the mast hole?
I've also recently fished for several hours one day before realizing that I didn't fill my foam puck with water, but was getting great returns the whole time(200 kHz signal).  So do what FFTW did and just get a piece of foam, like from a pool noodle, and just wedge the 'ducer to the inside of the hull.

I did the Electrical duct seal with no water. Just grab a chunk and stuck the 'ducer in it.

Works good and only cost ~$2.

Edit: For the display as a temporary mount at first, I took a piece of pvc and wrapped a couple layers of electrical tape and it fit really snug inside the mast hole. But for the Oasis, the mast is in the middle right?
If you want it up front, that would be tougher... the new Scotty tracks are quite inexpensive (~$4) and may work with their other mounts.

I just cut a piece of 1/4" plexiglass to fit the under the sun shade at the front of my OK T13 and attached the base that came with my FF to it.  The front edge is then wedged under a rubber stopper where the wires go through the bulkhead.

Thanks guys.  Yeah the mast hole is in the center for the Oasis, nowhere near the front hatch.  I ended up slapping it onto a piece of scrap transition wood I had sitting in that bucket of stuff that never gets used  (actually it was slotted for firewood) but yeah, put a RAM ball on that and put a foam puck in the hull.  I just wanted something temporary until I figure out exactly where I want everything mounted.  No holes in a new boat without some serious thought first.

For the fishfinder display, Craig has a post on here where he made a T with pvc, wrapped it with foam and then with electrical tape to fit in the molded-in rod holders. I think there was even a quick how-to.(Found it: (http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=9925.msg109994#msg109994)
I believe it was supposed to be temporary but he liked it because of the ease of moving from one yak to another and kept it.

Seems to work for him (look at that smile):

I wouldn't be scared of drilling a hole into the boat, it is technically easy. However I do think it is a good idea to carefully consider where you drill and for what. Some things I considered when installing my Ram ball into the kayak were 1) I wanted the Ram ball flush or underneath the gunwales for mounting upside down. 2) I wanted to be certain that whatever was attached to the Ram ball would not interfere with paddling or fighting fish.  Once I considered these things the install of that piece only took 5 minutes. Since I used Duct Seal underneath the only other hole was for the wire cap so that I could run the wires from inside the hull to the outside. No big deal really, but I am not a fan of putting a bunch of riff raff all over my boats. I can barely stand one rod holder and a lot of times I don't use my fish finder at all (leave it at the car).
