Mike Allen and I’ve been hitting the CO river for bass hard, for the past three years trying to learn how to master the art. We're having a ball, learning a lot, and doing quite well. Our latest trip was about a week ago and I caught two beauties about 25 inches, one on the way in, the other on the way out.  Mike got pics of the one on the way out.

I'm coming to PDX to see my two grandsons and to fish with my son, Jammer, in a couple of weeks. I've met quite few  NWKA people on previous trips, and look forward to meeting a few more.

Now if I can get these darn pictures to post.

Nice! I used to fish those same areas when I lived in Lake Havasu.  However, I spent most of my time chasing striped bass.  They were yummy.

Hi Craig, I love catching stripers.On our previous trip one of our fishers hooked 6 and landed 4. Needless today he was delighted. We get the best results with 3.5 in. chartreuse swim baits using .
1/4 - 3/8 oz lead heads. What were you using on Havasu?

I used the same types of gear as you mentioned and topwater crankbaits when they were feeding on the surface. It was a blast at night when you would get a school of them hitting the shad on the surface.  Just cast into the feeding frenzy and enjoy.
