Hi everyone, I'm Mat. Just joined the forum & recently just moved to Campbell River, BC from the east coast of Canada...that's the cold coast, in case you didn't know. I'm also fairly new to kayak fishing.

I predominantly chuck flies for whatever I can (smallies rank as one of my faves) but I've come to acquire some heavy jigs & heavier rods/reels in the few weeks since arriving...

I currently have a Diablo Paddlesports Chupacabra, but I just ordered up a Jackson Cuda 14 to tackle a bit of the salty stuff. I promised my girlfriend I'd sell the Chupacabra, but, between you & me, I plan on keeping both :p

Great resource here, lots of tips & techniques to study up on, & looking forward to maybe meeting some of you west coast guys on the water someday.

Ha! Yeah...

It's your fault, sorta: you told me to check out the forum, & I didn't wanna be one of those lurker-types...  :p

So. Much. Info. Here. :)
