Do crab rings have the same regs about floats etc that traps do? For Washington?

They are considered crab gear and need a float like a pot. Next time you go to Westport bring some crab gear ;) There are keepers out there


The WDFW fishing regulations state that:

Every shellfish pot, ring net, or star trap left unattended in Washington waters must have its own buoy line and a separate buoy that is permanently
and legibly marked with the operator’s first name, last name, and permanent address (telephone number is voluntary)
