Newbie update:  I’ve been getting the hang of things and my confidence level has improved considerably.  Trolling took a while to master (depth, speed, and gear) but I’ve got it now, at least for small fish.  Nearly every time I go out on American Lake I catch fish (trout).  I’ve attached a rod holder to the Trax system and it works wonderful. Not sure on the next modification, maybe electronics, thoughts?  I did dump it in some rough water but it was my fault.  I think I over corrected when the kayak was rocking in 2ft+ windy chop; PFD works well though..  Lesson Learned. I am glad I took it slow learning on a lake before the ocean.

Thanks to all who contribute to this site and special thanks to nangusdog for tips on trolling.

Mike
