There have been a couple threads regarding Fish Finder Batteries with some interested in going the light weight Lithium route, but not wanting to deal with ordering the parts, construction .....
Here is your chance to get one while helping the Heroes on the Water Program.

This is one I just assembled utilizing a 9800 mAh Li-ion battery. The battery is held in place via Velcro, so it can easily be removed from the water proof box by simply unplugging the power connector on top.  It utilizes a common 5mm x 20mm fuse holder so to provide protection of your electronics and wiring.   These battery packs provide a USB power port which could be used to charge many personal electronics in a pinch.

I have tested these water proof boxes and cable pass through seals under 24" of water for 2 hours without issue.    The quick disconnect water proof power connector utilizes the same type connector as the charger, so it really simplifies charging.   I will include needed components so you can make a nice waterproof connection to your fish finders power cable.

Please respond with your bid knowing it includes free shipping and upon receiving it, you then send your winning bid amount to the HOW program as a donation.   Auction ends on 5/25 noon.

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Is this a silent auction via PM or would you like us to post our offer on the thread? Great idea and thank you!

I was thinking it would benefit to let others see what the current bid amount is and by who.  If one person wants to outbid another for the shear "One UpManShip" factor,  the better since all is fare in love, war and fundraisers.

   That's a nice looking set-up.

   I'll start the bidding at $ 50.

Shoot, I was just looking this up and noticed the bidding ends at noon today.  Oops, it's 12:07.

Is there a parts list for this?  I'd like to make some for myself.

Thank You StillHunting on a very generous bid which will go to a great cause.  Please contact me PM with shipping address and I will get it out this week.   I only wish I could hand deliver it to you to enjoy some of that island weather.    After you receive it please let me know and one of the HOW program organizers will contact you with payment info.
When you get up to our area,  your on my list of guys I would hope to get to fish with.

As far as parts...

Water proof box   "most all local sporting good stores have these"
Battery pack, waterproof power connectors, angled power connector and fuse holder can all be found on ebay with a long wait from overseas sellers.   Other than that only heat shrink, velcro and soldering stuff.   The connectors and fuse holders are very inexpensive especially with multiple count auctions.  If anyone needs them,  I have lots of extras.

Thank you Craig, indeed this does go to a great cause, and of course I am always looking for ways to make my kayak lighter...

But yes hope we can link up to go fishing and will be looking forward to it. Thanks again for the selfless work you did on this Craig.
