Was headed out to Waldport with some friends for an overnighter and was hoping someone could help me with a fishing report???

Are there any surf perch to be had???

Thanks in advance.

Are you fishing from the shore? I've heard the surf perch fishing has been good lately but haven't been out myself. I used to go south of Yachats all over Cape Perpetua and catch various bottom fish off the rocks and surf perch where there are sandy spots. That's another ten miles south of Waldport.

Just hitting it from the beach. I'll give it a look. The campground we're at is south of waldport so it will just make me closer to the place you suggested.

Thanks.

Crabbing in the Alsea bay is real good there. Just go to the marina store and they can set you up with everything you need on rent- even a boat!
