Took my BassMaster buddy, Chip out to Round Lake in Camas this afternoon. He's caught a lot of big bass in Lacamas Lake in his monster bass boat but had never been in a kayak.

We launched around 5 and he nailed two very nice LMBs in less than an hour. He's now totally hooked on kayak fishing.

I live just above the lake, it's going to be my new playground!

That's awesome Hoppa!  Those are some fatties.  Great choice of lures too.  I hadn't thought about running a SMB pattern thru LMB nests to get a reaction.  There's a lure to add to my arsenal.

His nephew bagged these about 6 weeks ago in Lacamas: 4 & 7.5 lb.

Just need to work on beefing up my Mojo Factor.

Great pics. The one with Mark "getting hit on the noggin" is hilarious!

Not sure how these pics got into the wrong thread. I'll fix that.

 Thanks hoppa

I just PM'ed you about that.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor dark of night, yada, yada...

Dang them uncooperative fish! Fished last night until nearly 9 PM, back on the water today from 10-4:30, nada, zilch, zippo to show for it. Now I'm going to be in CA for a week without a kayak. Grrrrrr.

I even resorted to fishing a bobber and worm and received "el olor de un Zorillo!"

I probably should have gone to the bass seminar.

It's great to see round lake producing! I've been a sceptic about Lacamas/Round lake. I've only caught small trout and perch, never bass. I've heard there are some fatties, but that they are VERY difficult to catch. For some reason, the fish in this body of water are very picky.
