Welcome aboard!

Never used or seen that particular model. It looks pretty solid, a 31" wide, 12' long sit on top w/ scuppers, good reviews too. Looks like a good deal for 500. One of the reviewers talks about it being hard to stand up in, if that was important. It should work well in a lake bass fishing

Another Quack Yakker! Welcome to the site. Your choice looks like a good place to start. Stability is the number 1 factor in a duck kayak. Otherwise you are stuck to shooting over the bow and missing the side shots. Is there a place for you to demo this kayak?

I haven't really looked to see if there is. fishing is my main priority by far but i'd like to start duck hunting out of it too one day.

I would recommend searching Craigslist and avoid paying retail as I doubt any of us have got it right the first time...personally I went through three boats in my first year before finding the right one. This sport can get very addictive, especially for a obsessive/compulsive fish nut like me. Once you get into the sport and start catching big fish (and you will), you'll find your needs/desires will change significantly.
