3PM - Sunset Falls 6PM - Index Fire Station
PUD plans are proceeding nicely to study the feasibility of constructing a dam above Canyon Falls with a hydropower plant at Sunset Falls. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is coming to Sunset Falls with PUD managers for a site visit at 3pm on June 12. FERC may be under the impression there is little or no local opposition to these dam plans and we NEED YOUR HELP in setting the record straight.
At 6pm the same day, there will be a public meeting at the Index fire station and your presence is needed there as well; FERC wants to hear from you! Check the website as June 12 draws near to get details about signs, banners, and where we need your body. Please mark your calendars and plan to be near Sunset Falls by 2:30 June 12th in preparation for the FERC visitors.
