Hey,

My name is Blake from Redmond WA. Been checking out these forums for a while, and took a lot of inspiration for rigging my kayak. Wanted to get signed up officially.  :banjo:

Wish this site had a Bass fishing section though! A lot of the NW bass fishing groups, are not as receptive to kayakers, and it would be nice to have our own corner.  ::)

Here is a picture of my Native Ultimate 14.5 project. I will post more pictures later. Looking forward to syncing up with other local anglers!

Tights lines.

Welcome! We have a few bass fishermen here. Yakbasser just put on a great clinic for us that are new to bass fishing last month. Looks like you have a nice setup there. Is that a Mad Frog TDA I see? How do you like it?

I like it so far. I thought about getting a transducer to mount on the bottom of the trolling motor, but like the idea of keeping them independent for now.

Bass guys don't take kayaks seriously because we don't have GLITTER in the gel coat.

We get a lot of bass around here (Lake WA, Lake Sammamish and other areas), and travel a bit for them too. It's one of my favorite fish, but I have a short attention span so I switch around to lots of fish to keep things interesting. Send me a PM and we'll hit Lake WA for some smallie action in the non-glitter yaks.

I don't do a lot of largemouth fishing but I'm always up for a good evening of smallmouth fishing on the Willamette. It may be my imagination but I feel like I catch more quality smallmouth out of my kayak than I used to catch out of my power boat.

Anyway, welcome and make sure to post some bass pictures to get me motivated! :)
