Greetings from Southeast Portland

I'm new to the sport, having recently been gifted my mother-in-law's yak, and I've been enjoying the lakes, rivers and estuaries within a couple hour's drive of Portland. Out of the boat, I also do my best to keep the state's clam and crab populations under control.

If anyone near Portland ever wants to get out on the water, I can use all the pointers I can get.

Welcome! I moved from SE down to a little town on the coast about a year ago. This is the time of year that I miss Portland. Now that I have a kayak I'm happy to live on the coast. 
You will feel right at home here. There's a wealth of knowledge to be absorbed!

Lot's of us live in SE Portland. I'm in the Woodstock neighbor hood.  We have monthly meetings / clinics at the Next Adventure Paddle Sports Center (3rd Tuesdays at 7 pm).
