That's awesome. I want to get the ama kit for my Outback. If I ever get them I'm going to make use of Gear Tracs so the kit is not a permanent mount on the kayak. I've heard nothing but bad reviews on the well nuts that come with the kit.
I can't wait for your on the water report.

I did see a few places where people were complaining about them, but I figured if I use it a lot / get the sail kit and they flake on me, I can probably find a longer term solution, and if I end up not using them, if it pops off I can plug the holes and call that my first install scar ;)

I'll be taking it out at least twice (hopefully both in the salt) before ORC, so should have a good idea by then.

That's awesome. I think that making use of the Gear Tracs along with some backing plates would be far stronger than what the kit comes with as standard. I hope it works out well for you.

Are you planning on a sail kit soon?  I have it on my long term wish list and want to know how the revolution 11 handles, with and without the outriggers.  I am taking the slow and steady approach to modifications this time--new turbo fins come tomorrow and I am excited to give them a try.

The AMA install on my Outback was easy, I haven't had any issues with the mounts yet.

I've been is some pretty choppy water and was still able to stand up.

I'm advising myself into holding off on the sail kit until next year, but I rarely listen to my own advice - so we'll see :)  I went ahead and got the sidekicks now because it seems like a good safety option on solo adventures in big water.

If it wasn't for AOTY points, I would have already bought the sail kit.

I'd like to try it out first if I can.

Next time Next Adventure has one of those demo days, if they have the Adventure Island I may try it before getting the sail kit for the revo.  Been looking at videos of those, and man they look fun :)

Lol. I managed to screw up the amas install. Used outside rails so the center piece isn't long enuf. That's ok but will need to fix at some point

I'm going to use it when I try my sail kit but after one time they are coming off as a training wheel for my 8yr old. Outback is plenty stable, I will always be close by, and the amas made it impossible to pull up along the side.
