Hello I am new to this site and to kayaking, I was born and raised in Hillsboro Oregon and have lived the last 27 years here in Tillamook County at Rockaway Beach. I worked 4 years of my younger years (late 80's early 90's) as a Commercial fisherman Shimper/dragger 90' boat out of Garibaldi. I am familiar with the water and at on time nearly received my 100,000 ton license. Any way I wanted to introduce my self and say Hi

I recently purchased the Hobie 2013 PA 14 and I love it. I have been salmon fishing twice missing take downs, but they were my first voyage. The PA is awesome and the mirage drive make trolling a breeze. I don't make it out to Portland much, but with 5 rivers a bay and ocean it's hard to go that far. I do plan to make it to PC and depoe this year, I do still have some old fishing buddies I can hit up for spots here in big blue.

Welcome! Great to have you here. I've heard great things about the PA-14. Let us know when you're planning your trip to Depoe Bay or Pacific City, odds are you'll have a few of us probably meet you out there.
