Hello from Hillsboro

Hello, I recently got into the world of kayaks with the purchase of a Nucanoe Frontier.  I have been a trout fly-fisherman mainly on the Wilson river and am looking forward to venturing out on some of the local lakes in the Frontier to extend my season.  I have never fished on a lake before as I found it boring sitting on the bank waiting for a bite.  So hopefully with some of the information here I will be able to find some good local water to try out.

Welcome. From Hillsboro, Hagg is the closest lake.  And a decent one (fish-wise) at that. Lots of variety with technique, species, etc. Take First avenue south to the Newberg area, and you're amidst some quality Willamette river backwater. Lots of opportunity around. Welcome!
