that's only way I can describe, get cruising along and for a second or two the fins lose their torque feeling....then kicks in again. something I need to do to keep this from happening?

$10 says your cables are loose. I had the same thing happen. Don't tighten them down too hard or you risk damage to the idler pulley. Damhik  ;D

snugged up all my cables, which felt loose, took yak out last nite and no more slipping. thanks for help.
