....uhh.....myself  :)

Art, I'm from the SF Bay Area, also a contributing member on NCKA. I don't enjoy long walks on the beach unless I have a hot woman, fishing rod or surfboard accompanying me.  Have been kayak fishing on and off since about 03 or 04 (can't remember exactly) but have been fishing salmon halibut, rockfish stripers and fw bass for over 20 years. I also fish from a boat...not sure of the general attitude toward combustible engines is here but I also own a boat...don't hate me :) and just started freediving.  I am somewhat of a jackass and enjoy and appreciate having fun more than anything else.  My reports are purely for the readers entertainment and contain little to no actual fishing value (especially not to the NW contingent) but are offered up as a gesture of appreciation to others that care enough to share their own adventures.

welcome, Art,

don't sweat the power boat ownership, there are several here who have them also and while we give them a good natured ribbing once in a while, we don't hold it against them....much :o

i think a lot of the membership is out fishing or doing family stuff on this long weekend.. board has been a bit quiet lately. which means come late Monday, sometime Tuesday, this thing is probably gonna go haywire with weekend reports.

hope you enjoy yourself here, if it feels sometimes like old home week, it's because you've probably run into old members of NCKA who migrated up the coast.

Welcome Art,

I used to live at the top of Berryessa Ave above Alum Rock Park B4 moving up to Oregon about 6 years ago.  Taught diving in Monterey for years and diving here blows.  Nothing like the northern CA coast. Very few abs here.

Grapata State Park was my favorite for lings.

But Steelhead here, now there's a challenge, especially from a kayak.

It's always good when you can poke fun at yourself.

Boat has gone unused for close to six months. Rebuilding the trailer bunks (rusted to the point they're scary) and upgrading my electronics were at the top of my list till I decided I need to take advantage of the crappy housing market and try to purchase.  The boat will be top priority once that is squared away. Let me know when you'll be in town......mlpa's will close north HMB to Pedro point next year and I'm thinking mothership while we can.
