Things are starting to pick up on the Snohomish.  I fished Wednesday and saw a ton of fish coming up river. But.... they were very tight lipped and only managed to get one.  This morning, I hit the river about an hour before high slack tide. I had two in the yak the first 15 minutes.  Moved location and had another two about 45 minutes later.  All fish were fresh and over 26 inches.  May be going out tomorrow AM but the crowds will be getting pretty crazy soon.

They all look like pinks.  26" is a good sized pink, probably 6-7 pounds.

Yep, they were all pinks, two hens- two bucks.  I'd guess that 3 were around 6lbs and one was +8.  They seem much bigger than two years ago.

I went to the river yesterday evening. Caught nothing and had not a great overall experience. Water is dirty, stinks like hell, empty cigarette packs and alcohol bottles floating around you, amount of weed and branches is enormous. I cleaned up the gear till 11pm.

It might be different if I were launching from Maple Ave, but Rotary Park was less than great.

I try to avoid the weekends if possible.  I did go out Saturday though, and it was a zoo..  It was like I-5 at rush hour.  I managed to get three in the yak, all 24-26 inches.   I'll be out Monday morning- fishing the high tide change around 11:30  Hopefully it will be a bit more mellow.  There are loads of fish in there

Headed out Monday or Tuesday if anyone is headed that way. Still learning the ways of the river in a yak.
