Hello all,

Just moved to the area from San Diego and looking to get into some fishing up here. Grew up in Eastern Carolina doing lots of saltwater fishing. All of my freshwater boating as a kid was your typical menace kid/teenager running around in his parents boat on he river. Never been big on shore or pier fishing so a vessel is in order.

Going to start off building my own kayak and then when I have the room I will build a little skiff. I have a couple plans picked out.

I stumbled across this site and it seems like it is full of great information for someone like me.

Matt

Welcome aboard! I'm in Puyallup too. Hope to see ya on the water soon. The salmon are pretty much all over the sound. Great time to get out.
