Bike + kayak = subalpine fun!?

I was wondering if anyone else has used a cart for their kayak, hooked it up to their mountain bike and hauled it up to some of the subalpine lakes in the Snohomish county area ( or anywhere for that matter ).

I've got a hardcore hankering to hitup the following lakes;  Day Lake, Twin Lakes, Julia, Smelling, Chitwood, Tomtitt, Rainy, Drunken Charlie, amoung others I have found on the map.

Has anyone done this, or have thought of about doin this?  I could use guidance if anyone has anything to offer.  I sounds like so much fun.

I never got beyond the dreaming stage, but have long wanted to do this.  Maybe next summer with an inflatable SUP on the rear rack of the Surly.

Oh yeah...he's got the right idea.

My original goal was to replace my OldTown Pack Canoe for a higher end Kayak - but it is better that I keep it since the OldTown Pack is made of Royalex ( only 33lbs ) - which makes it the perfect craft for this sort of bike-in fishing.

Now I'm getting all amp'd up.

My goal was to start small by hitting up fairly close in lakes, e.g. Smelling, Julia, Chitwood, etc.  Pretty well known places and the roads are supposedly ample for this.
The holy grail for me would be to hitup Day Lake - which I regularly daydream about.  I'm also thinking it'll motivate me to purchase a Hancock Snoqualmie pass for next year.  There is a small handful of lakes easily reachable and fairly close to civilization on the Hancock property.  I think it would provide a safe way to begin learning about the naunces of smallcraft, bike-in fishing.

I asked the dudes I jam with about this, last night at band practice, and they had never done this, but said it sounded pretty fun.
