So it's been a long road to catching a salmon (3yrs) but I can finally say I got 1. Technically I caught my first salmon on a PB in sep but this last weekend was my first yak salmon and my second salmon ever!!! It's good to know I can do it :) I got info last week from C_run that beaver creek was open on weekends for coho. Sense the wx looked nice and the gf likes yaking that area I decided to take a quick break from studying for the GRE. Hit the water at 1030 am and had my fish by 1130. Just a small 18.5 in jack but it's better than nothing! :D :D Fished until 130 and back to studying. Bronze bladed blue foxes size 4 or smaller is what everyone was catching them all on.

P.S. I finished the GRE on Tuesday with the score I needed and can now focus back on fishing :D

That smile says it all. Got my first this year, too. Enjoy the buzz; it lasts a long while.

Nice report! Salmon caught via kayak is the most fun you can have sitting down.

Way to go on the salmon. I bet you are glad to have the GREs out of the way. Those tests are ridiculous.

I beg to differ, sir!! But this isn't the forum to explain it...  >:D

Congrats on the GRE and the salmon! Which took more effort? :)

Wes, how crowded was it out there? Lots of boats? Other yaks? Did you see any others catching?

It was supper chill last weekend and this weekend maybe 5 boats out on the water. Everyone was spread out and supper nice. 4 adult fish and 6 jacks caught sat the 16th but none for me. They were caught more towards the second bridge on bronze spinners and bronze bladed spinners.
