Greetings from Georgia.

I'm sitting in a hotel lobby in Athens, GA waiting for my nerd meeting to start and you guys are killing me with your lake trout and ling cod reports.  On the shuttle from Atlanta to Athens last night I had to listen to a couple fishermen discuss  their recent trips to Alaska and Northern Canada, it was almost to much to take.

Anyway, I'm back in Portland late on Thursday with a cleared weekend ahead of me and some comp time to use mid-week anytime after that.  I hope the weather cooperates for some ocean time, if not I'm interested in checking out Astoria sturgeon soon.   Alternatively, mixed bag Multnomah Channel (bass, walleye, shad, sturgeon, etc..), or bass on the Willamette would do in a pinch.   Anyone interested?

Yeah man. I'm hoping to make it down there on Sat. and thought about making time to hit up the coast for some rockfish on the way back. It is a heck of a drive but will see. I will keep ya updated.

So i guess you don't wanna hear about my great day fishing at Sunset... ;)

bumped my AOTY score up a tad. Five fat blacks and one lingcod about the same size as my previous one.
See ya on the water..

Yep Roy, I didn't need to hear that.  Just kidding, good for you.  I really need to get out on the ocean soon.
