Here is a photo of me coming back in at Cape Disappointment/Waikki Beach, in my Hobe Revo.
My wife was on the beach watching me come in and as I got close there was a great roar from the wave behind me, I landed on the beach as though it was what I do everyday. I asked my wife did she happen to take a picture of me coming in and she looked at me like...why?
I had no idea this photo was taken by someone on the jetty, I proceeded back out to get my crab rings 15 Minutes later and back in with no issues. The fellow that took the photo approached my wife and asked if she would like the pictures emailed to her and she agreed...ok what's the big deal?

When I looked at his photos I was then a bit concerned about that landing, what do you think,  just a days work at the beach? Normally I would bale out of the Hobie as I get near,  this one carried me to the beach on a cushion of friendly water.  I have a couple of dozen surf launches in but am very surprised how fast things change from flat to rough to flat?

Nice surf landing,  I was expecting to read how the nose burred itself and you sent you flying.

Good job on greasing the landing.

You should use that pic for your profile. It turned out really nice.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

lmao

I've gotta wonder if the super shallow water on that bar didn't save you from a beating.  I think you may have been skating on your bow chine (as opposed to burrying the nose) just long enough for the wave to pick you up and carry you in.

Awesome action photo!
