In addition to my new Ultimate 12,  I've got a small drift boat that doubles as a pram in small lakes, as well as floating rivers. easy to fish out of, because I can stand and flycast, and very easy to control speed and drift going downstream. Can't car-top it though, and often need a shuttle service. I've been known to put an electric trolling motor on it for powering upstream and for lakes.

Also recently picked up a late 70's SeaNymph shallow vee 16' jonboat from an ancient mariner and put a new 9.9 hp 4-stroke on it...the "mothership!"  Good for taking buddies with ya on the lake or trolling the bays and lower rivers for salmon. (don't have any yak fishing buddies yet). I'm setting it up clean for flyfishing. I usually fish alone, though, anyway.

What I really need is a good SOT for bigger water than my little Ultimate 12 can handle. I live near the beach and I often fish from and around the South Jetty at the entrance to Grays Harbor.

Love the U-12. though, for smaller water.

And yes, there is still an empty spot in my garage!

Our fleet:

Cobra Marauder
OK Malibu 2
8' jon boat powered by a minn kota trolling motor.  This baby slays bass on the delta.
10' Livingston with an 8horse johnson.  Latest project, gonna be the low cost bay and inshore ride for afternoon getaways on calm days
16' Valco.  rigged like a bass boat with casting decks, has seen little use since we got rid of our houseboat
22' Chris Craft walk around. Money Pit, Heavy Hull, V8 Gas guzzling S.O.B. but can fish 3 with no problem and 4 if I need to.  Handles the water great even when the weather turns ugly.

Each one has a purpose, fishes efficiently and there isn't a body of water we cannot hit. Its easy to over romanticize the beauty/simplicity of yakfishing and having another rig in the arsenal will open your angling opportunities and expand your range if you need it to.  Maintenance and Repairs are a subject for a whole other thread though  ;)
