Hi, my name is Mike.  I'm from the Tri Cities, Wa.  I bought a Hobie Outback last year from the Kayak Shed in Hood River. I am completely addicted to kayak fishing.  Last year I fished for bass, trout, steelhead and salmon. I fished the Snake, Columbia, Yakima, Siletz and some small lakes. I have learned a lot of great information off this site and decided I had better join. Everyone here seems great.

Welcome! Now we just need to get you out to the ORC this summer for some salt water fishing in a great tournament.

The ORC sounds like a great time. I've never been on the salt in a kayak. I'll try to make it down there this summer. Windknot, I,ll have to look up Atomic Angler. It'd be nice to have a fishing partner close to home.

I live in Pasco. It's good to hear that there's other kayak fisherman out there not too far away. Hopefully be able to meet up with you for a fishing trip some time. I'm working on getting a dry suit so I can hit the water soon.

I can't wait for the fall run. I thought last year was the best ever.  I sure hope they're right. I've got to figure out my springer strategy now.

Welcome! Great picture!
I haven't checked this site in a LONG time. I'm in Richland, been kayak fishing around here for 10 plus years. I've caught everything but salmon/steelhead and sturgeon, I'd love to tag along on a salmon run if you ever want company...
I'm always in a old, beat up,yellow Wilderness Systems Tarpon 160i, or fishing from a paddle board. I kayak more in the winter than summer.
Great to know there's more of us here. Hope to see you out on the water.

Jay
