Kayak Angler reporting a new manufacturer offering a drysuit for $225, or one with a relief zipper for $100 more.

http://www.rapidmedia.com/kayak-fishing/categories/gear/item/2551-fresh-catch-mythic-gear-drysuits.html

Since $225 is about the amount you'd pay for a good wetsuit, the barrier to getting into a drysuit seems quite a bit lower than it used to.

I really appreciate what the company says about their product and what they're trying to do. I have no idea if it will end up being a quality piece of gear or not but I appreciate the way they're thinking about the market.

Looks like a good possibility for getting a loaner suit.  Or for someone that is just starting out and doesn't want to pony up for a Kokatat or Stohlquist or NRS.  For my own suit I think I'd spring the 3 extra Benji's for a Kokatat Hydrus Angler.  I'd much rather have a neoprene neck gasket, and the likely better durability of the Kokatat would be worthwhile I think.

It will interesting to see if these suits give service comparable to a more expensive make.  The style looks like something a Ferengi might wear, but... fish don't care what the angler is wearing.  Hope someone buys one and gives a report.

Made in China, but, like everyone has said, $225!

Wow cheaper than some wetsuits. These dry suits do not have reinforcement patches of any kind though, wonder how it would hold up to the abuse of kayak fishing.

At that price it only has to last 1/3 as long to break even with some of the more established brands.  Competition is a good thing for buyers.  Look forward to the first reviews.

Other features include a hook-and-loop-backed adjustable webbing waistband, a small repair kit, and a free "feminine urinary device" (a.k.a., a funnel) for female users of the Enki Relief model.......looks like the GF found a drysuit.
