Yeah I've already done the research on the rivets but thanks for the info.

No update. Sinus infection is keeping me down.

If you are at all nervous about diving into this project, I'm willing to help you out as I've installed lots of hardware for several others from this site. 
I have no qualms drilling holes in other peoples kayaks, let alone my own.   8)

Easy to install and waterproof.  You'll see the video covers rivets, wellnuts, etc.

Sorry I just saw this - Thank you! That is a generous offer... I guess  ;D

I got this project done Sunday night, but I haven't taken pictures yet. We ended up positioning the traks so that we could use the screws on all but the last hole. I used a short length of small-diameter brass tubing on the rivet and it worked perfectly.

I'll get some pictures up and also I'll share my rivet source as they were prompt and had the tri-fold rivets.
