Online Sit on Top Kayak Database

Here's another resource I ran into today in my never ending search of ways to procrastinate at work.  It's a sit on top kayak database at www.sit-on-topkayak.com a.k.a. topkayaking.net

It's pretty cool, you can search by length, weight capacity, solo/tandem/child, function (surf, diving, fishing, etc..), material, manufacturer, and a few other things.

It might help those interested in getting a kayak to narrow their choices down to a few to try.  Of course, up here in the Pacific Northwest your choice is already limited by what's available in our market.

I used that site when I was trying to figure out which SOT to get.  Some of the brands referenced are either not available anymore or are not sold through any distributors w/ websites which was really frustrating.  If you know your basic requirements it would be one of the first places I would check to find out roughly what kind of yak will suit your needs and then do individual searches on each kayak that piques your interest.  If you have a particular price point you are trying to stay under pick the one just above it (most of the yaks on there can be found cheaper with a little searching.)
