The mirage drive enabled the US Navy team a win in the 2011 Human-powered submarine race.

Another post I'm late with, but that happens when you are a newbie... oh well. Go Navy! Just wanted to thank the poster for this video it shows the strength of the Hobie name for the USN to brag about using the Mirage Drive.
The propeller drive is interesting also. Suppose they did the counter rotating props to be sure there was no directional pull? Then again, it's a slow boat so I may be reading too much into it.
Looks like the "boys" were having a ball.
