Hello. I am a born and raised So OR guy. 30 years in Medford/Jacksonville area to be exact. I moved to San Jose CA for work about 6 years ago. Joined NCKA and participated in a couple tournaments. My handle is LipRipper. I've taken the last 6 months off to fish, travel and figure out where to relocate. Currently I'm living in Vancouver but want to maintain my Oregon residency. Today I finally broke out the kayak and drove down to the nasty Vancouver Lake. Paddled around for a couple hours. I have a 14' Jackson Cuda rigged up with a Lowrance Elite 5 Gold, GoPro and all the little goodies from Yakattack and Ram. I had mainly fished the salt in CA. Slayin the Lings and RF to feed my other passion (cooking). The Maddness runs deep within me. I don't know where to go up here. I know very few people. None of which kayak fish. I've been Steelhead fishing solid for the last 2 months. Decided to look for work up here last week and give the savings account a break. Here's some fish porn from last year fishing in CA and some recents of some of the Steelies I've hooked.
I'm looking for some guys to hook up with to get out on the water. Salt or fresh doesn't matter. Look forward to meeting y'all.

Welcome,Cuda!..I'm also in the 'Couv....sorry ya had to to try that crappy Vancouver lake...it boasts a lot of kayakers but mainly because its always flat and the crews train and race there. Fishing -wise Battle Ground lake is good for stocker trout,Lacamas is hit and miss for trout and bass,my favorite lake is Merwin for kokanee and the occasional Tiger Muskie. Not a salt guy yet,but plenty of guys here are. Spring Chinook is the buzz right now...catch Spot and Nates on the water clinic coming up...these guys know how to rock it!
And great pics...the ling shot is awesome!

Thanks for the welcome gentleman. Dberd I appreciate the intel and I'll look into that clinic. Sounds like a good opportunity to meet some folks with the same addiction.
