Curiosity I guess...

I was looking back in time at some older posts...getting ideas and figuring a few things...
I got to wondering and thinking...
Who wrote some of these posts?
Are they still around?...I haven't seen anything from some of them since I've been here in nearly 2 years...

So my questions to the Oh Great Powers That Be...

How many active members do we as NWKA total?
...how many total (active and inactive) have we ever been?

polepole and bsteves go through the members list about once a year and edit out the non participatory  by emailing them and giving them the option to stay or go...

if you click the Members button at the top of the page, it will take you to the members list... and in fine print, you'll find the total number currently signed up (turns out we are showing 1874 right now)

I never noticed that before! 

I didn't know they purged it every year...cool...

I have in the past purged members with zero posts that haven't logged in in the past year.

177 registered members have logged in in the last day.
316 in the past week.
445 in the past month.
1003 in the past year.

Now, that doesn't count guests.  We get 12K unique visitors to the site every month.

While reading current posts, you end up seeing the same "names" a lot...
You just don't realize just how many others, either members or creepers, are out there!
I certainly didn't realize, or think about, how many people hit the NWKA site!
That's awesome!

I've added a lot to my fishing ideas "arsenal" because of some of those "names"...
On the flip side, the willingness to guide comrades-in-poles, and share ideas by the "names" makes it difficult to say much more than "Yep, what he said" without looking like some babbling tool. 
The "names" have their stuff dialed in (for the most part), and I find myself doing more reading than contributing...but I hope to change that...
Keep up the good work "names", there's a lot of empty room in my upstairs for more ideas I haven't tried...yet

One of the great contributions that everyone can make is trip reports. We all love fishing pictures!
It doesn't have to be an epic day or even good weather. Snap some pictures of your trip and share your story.

  That's just plain ol' funny there Sharkbait.
  None of us knows it all when it comes to fishin'.
  Always be open to learning new "stuff"....... there's a lot out there.

  That's pretty incredible.... I know I am always referring "new" folks to NWKA for helpful hints.

The login numbers include Tapatalk.  There is no login for RSS.

The Uniques numbers are from Google Analytics.  It filters out search engines.  It would not include RSS feeds as I don't instrument RSS feeds with the Google Analytics code.
