I'm thinking of heading out sturgeon fishing this weekend again.  Is anyone interested in meeting up to do some fishing?  I was thinking of putting in at Willamette park and heading up by the golf course.

Hey del,
We have never met, but I'd like to join if you do not mind. I'm new to the willy, but I can always trade some knowledge of where to find nice sturgeon east of the Dalles.

That would be great.  Send me a text anytime and we can come up with a plan for Saturday.  971 388-9680

Koboabe,

I'm not sure where Elk Rock is.  There is a deep hole just up river from the Sellwood Bridge by the golf course.  That's where I'm planning on going.

Just past the golf course is a boat launch.
Just past that is elk rock

There is an 80" foot hole between the rock and the cliff on the west side of the bank.

Lots of deep water between Sellwood and George Rodgers

Pretty sure I'll be on the water,  I'll come by and say hello.

Do you have a VHF?

That would be cool.  I don't have a vhf but have been thinking of getting one.  Any recommendations on a radio?  I have an off white Hobie Pro Angler 14.  You're welcome to say hi.  I think Mr. Egg is going to try to meet up on the river as well.

For sure... I will be in a yellow revo (I doubt there will many kayak fisherman out, but you never know)
I have a standard horizon HX851 that I got a good deal on. it's prob overkill for me, but I like it.
The HX280 is $90 on Amazon and also looks like a great radio

What time are you guys thinking?

I was hoping to be on the water by 8:30.  I will have to confirm a time with Mr Egg (Paul) to see what will work for him.  I live down by Salem.  It takes me a bit to get loaded and up that way.

That time sounds good. I'm not expecting blue jay weather, but we are Oregonians.
