Hello,

I am really serious about purchasing a angler kayak, I have my mind set on a couple of different kinds, but I don't know where to go to purchase any angler kayaks, or at least look at them. I could just buy online but don't want to make that commitment unless I know for sure. I live in Lake Stevens, where can I go to look at a couple different kayaks, from ocean kayaks, or old town kayaks or other fishing kayaks you might suggest. Im looking between $2000 to $2500 for getting started setup. any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Dustin

I could go to the North west paddling festival next weekend.

Demo as many kayaks as you can before you buy.

Agreed!!! A lot of kayak vendors are scheduled to be there and for a $7 fee you can demo the kayaks. Might even be some show discounts.

There is a nice classified section here on the forum that might work for you.  I have a Hobie revolution with Mirage drive for sale there.

You never can tell when something might pop up that you are interested in.  There's also Next Adventure in Portland and The Kayak Shed in Hood River.  Both shops can outfit you very well.  Lot's of Craig's List ads seem to find their way onto the forum too.

Believe it or not my first SOT kayak came from Costco.  One of the best purchases I've made there.

Good luck and have fun -

Alan
