I am new to kayaking, but not to fishing. I am very happy to find you all. I am nailing down my choice of vessel and looking to start finding fish in the salt asap. I would welcome any advise. I am looking at the Hobie Adventure 16ft.

Welcome to the group, advice is abundant and there are many members with a great deal of experience.  Don't hurry making your choice of kayak.  Check them all out, demo them, and make notes of the features you really like.  Good luck!

It is great to demo boats before you buy so you can get a few for each on the water.
I have an Adventure and absolutely love it! It is a great fishing platform, with its pros and cons.
