Greetings from Mukilteo

Hi All!

I just joined, and am so glad to have found this forum because I'm chompin' to get started kayak angling (and crabbing) in Puget Sound, but need some guidance getting started.  I live in Mukilteo, so I have easy access to Marine Area 8-2, but I'm happy to travel to wherever the salmon are biting. 

My kayak is a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 (about 8 years old or so), which I've used mostly for casual paddling and lake fishing on camping trips.  I recently added a rod holder, but that's the extent of my rigging so far.   Looks like I've got some work to do!

Welcome to the club.  There is great fishing area just South of you.  Just be aware of the ferry waves and read the kayak safety forum.  It very good information for going into cold water/Puget Sound.   I usually go to shipwreck just South of Mukilteo and launch at Picnic Point Park.   The Coho starts July so I will see you out there.
