Tillamook Bay Tue. 27th last second decision

Hitting the T-Bay for some EARLY morning crabbing and rockfish on the south jetty 6:54 am low tide , dropping in at 5-5:30 am if anyone's up early enough and wants to join. Report shortly after

5:15 row out water was perfect wind was low got 6 good drifts along the south wall tossed back more then I kept but kept 4  ranging from 12-17 inches crabs were small but plentiful no keepers there.

Nice Work Shannon!  Did you drop the pots out where we discussed?

Ya I did the small clamshell close to my drift , the pot closer to the first end , next time I will try farther out the jetty with the pot. When you goiing to bring your kid out to go fish the jetty , if I ain't busy I will join ya.

Jojo,  I've done pretty good in the past (in a power boat) along the west bank heading from south jetty side, to crab harbor.  Then inside crab harbor between the floating crapper (if it is still there) and the north bank of crab harbor.

We are talking about possibly heading down this weekend, or Saturday or Sunday, depending on the tides.  I will keep you posted. Weather looks good so far.

I have some new jig heads that I want to try.  These are different than the ones we used before.  Called Stand up jigs, that will nose the swimbait into the sand with the tail sticking up.  I think the black rocks will love them!

Going at the bay again tomorrow morning for crab and rock fish , update apron return 6:30 departure this time.

Had a blast and ran into a fellow member , thanks for fishing with me "minnow magnet" hope I spelled it right. Lots of good size rock fish and I bagged my first sea trout .
