My daughter found some willing victims for the frog treatment. She was able to hook em and bring em in without help. Even with a face full of weeds... Summer is good. We also racked up a few trout for good measure.

Looks like good times for the two of you. Her biggest fish so far?

Add mouse and duckling imitations to your arsenal for more of the same and bigger. Toss them under overhanging trees or similar formations...
in the case of the mice, wait a second or two then twitch. spinning rods with braid and heavy flouro leaders work best.

in the case of the duckling/ baby bird imitations, soon as they hit the water start ripping them in 4-10 inch jerks... [ these have been called "wood choppers" essentially they are a plug with rotating or jointed flapping wings, so you want to raise a ruckus with them... best time is early morning or just at dusk]
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

Fishing is at it's best when you put a smile on a child's face.  ;D

Looks like a Capt. Ken Designer Frog.
I love fishing those. What fun that must have been for the both of you; congratulations!

She's got my vote for Grip and Grin! ;D
