I haven't had a chance to take my kayak in the ocean yet. I was panning on going to PC on Monday but looks the water might be to rough. How does Depoe Bay look? Where should I look to find ocean reports for there? Any help is much appreciated! thanks

See below. For your first time I'd skip Monday, it's on the bigger side. Look for a day that is around 3 feet at 9 seconds or more.

I think Monday will be doable although things could change.  Sunday looks like a no go for most.  Today when I checked it at 5:30 the surf to the south was a solid 5 ft, but the cove was virtually flat and lots of dory boats launching.

Keep an eye on the angle of the swell for PC, not just the height and period.  Also, see what the offshore buoys (and extended forecast) are doing to give you an idea if the swell will jack while you are out there.  PC faces west/south west and does not get hit by a lot of swell with North in it.  Good luck!
