Gold Beach question

I will be in Gold Beach next weekend for a family reunion and am considering taking the kayak to kill some time. I've never been to that area.
Has anyone been down there that can advise if there is any kayak fishable spots?
Surf launches? Anything at all to catch down that way?

Chinook are being caught in the bay there. There's a good chance I'll be there this Sunday to try my luck. I'll keep you posted.

Port Orford is 25 miles north and easy access by the dock.

I haven't tried out of Gold Beach, but Brookings is another 30 minutes away. There's an easy launch out of the Chetco bar. It will almost immediately put you on fish to the north side. That bar is super chill, too. You don't have to worry much about tidal influence.

Lots of rockfish right out the mouth of the Rogue at Simpson Reef.....just a bad chop to the waves usually, windy in Gold Beach and the power boaters are a bit thick and reckless.
 I would say take the drive North or South, much better Yak fishing to be had!
