I saw this post on craigslist...something about two kayakers at Whittier on 8/1...left one mirage drive on the beach.

Not me! I wonder if the serial number can be traced back to the original owner via Hobie. Wonder whose it is...  Losing the drive like that, not even to Davy Jones locker due to huli, would make a bad day seem even worse if it were me.

While sulking on Finger Lake because the weather was bad down towards Homer, I was approached by a couple in a neat inflatable motor boat. They asked me if my kayak was a Hobie and I said it was a NW Propel. They said that they had found a Hobie drive in Whitier and posted it on Craigs list. They asked if I  knew who had lost one and I told them that I had seen the notice for one found on NWKA but did not know who was looking for one. They said they thought the folks were military and sure would like to get it back to them.

I lost one 2 years ago at Pacific City, maybe El Nino pushed it to AK... :banjo:
