A few years back ravdakot was bouncing a jig for flounder in less than 10 feet of water when a Chinook did a drive by.   I think he got it on film too.

That could be exciting, especially if you've switched over to a light trout rod...

I've got it somewhere. I'll see if I can resurrect and post it back on YouTube

No action at Nisqually delta on Saturday AM 6-10 on the incoming either. Fished salt and fresh. Saw 15 or so boats and consensus was slow going.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly. Have a great day and good luck fishing.

I was on the way back from Dupont yesterday and talked to a guy working the bank by where that pipe drains...He showed me a picture of a 16 pound king he took off the bank the same time the day before. Man was it a nice fish. Chrome like crazy and big. He used a white buzz bomb with a light green stripe down the side of it. Nice guy.
I might work the bank after work because of times constraints but I plan to hit it Saturday morning early...

Ha Ha. I am going back out there Sunday for redemption. Haven't checked tide times yet though. Let me know what time if you decide to go

Flood at 05:06, ebb at 11:42 with a fairly big exchange (+11ish to 0.5ish) for the morning cycle

I might try again too :-)

What kind of salmon are you all fishing for up there? I hear crabbing can be good there as well.

They're Chinook. There's a lot of rock crab there. Diving for dungies can be productive, but seldom in pots.
