Hey guys, I am new to kayak fishing. But not new to kayaking or fishing exactly. I picked up a 2014 orange camo OK trident 13. I am looking to find some other guys to paddle and fish with around my area. I am located in Lake Stevens, WA. Here is my background.

Fishing - All freshwater and no salt. I have been fishing freshwater for years. I have a little Livingston I fish from on the small lakes and some of the larger ones. I fish the rivers from shore. I have never fished in the salt. Looking to change that.

Kayaking - I have done some ocean kayaking out at La push and around Jetty island in a borrowed sit inside touring kayak. At La push I did several wave entry and exits. I have taken my new Trident 13 out to quartermaster harbor on Vashon island. And have paddled around Lake Stevens a couple times. I am working on my skills and stamina.

I will have a lot to learn. But I have already learned the most important lesson I believe, respect the ocean! I have spent a significant amount of my teen and early adult years surfing and swimming in the ocean.

Who all is around my area? Where would be a good local first saltwater kayak fishing excursion? Any group outings happening around the area? Anybody want to show this new guy how its done?

Ted.
