I have stuck my finger in the air and figured out the wind and determined that I am going to try Homer for a day and then hit WG the next day or the other way around. I have a trick or two I want to try on feeder kings.

Definitely sounds like a plan.  I'm loaded up with Halibut so I am awaiting the arrival of the feeder kings.  They should be there already but it's always hit and miss for the few weeks inbn September the past few years.  Last year it was first part of October before I personally got into them.  The main feed at this time of year are sandlances.  They spawn in the area and when that happens, everything pulls close in to the gravel beaches.

Seward I think is the place for salmon action.  But for consistency on halibut and the elusive kings, WG & Homer is hard to beat! Get it dialed in!  On Oct 1, the seasonall limit goes away,  meaning with a proxy, you can keep 4!  Sometimes not a bad thing as the salmon tend to be smaller by the condos and buoy.  But big ones always lurk!

I may go chase trout with the kids on the upper Kenai....  Good luck!!!!

Well, the wind is blowing another direction, my bones are aching and Seward looks like sunny days and the two hours less driving over Homer so I am heading to Seward for Saturday/Sunday and maybe Monday, if I am having a good time. I can always use a couple of Silvers and perhaps a Rock Fish. I have not fished out of Seward for over 20 years from a boat anyways. I am going to drag my Jumping Jack trailer but may be bunking in a motel. So If you guys see the orange Slayer Propel it is most likely me, I don't believe there are any others in the State, please introduce yourselves.

Man from reports the silvers are really in at Seward. The pictures of the fish looks really good, nice and chrome. Going moose hunting next week hope to get a cow, have a cow tag for the middle fork Chena River. Wife and parents are going, getting flown in and floating to the road. Good luck in Seward would love to go!!!

Too much on the honey do list today but may hit WG t'row (Sun 9/7) if wind cooperates. I would be interested in learning how-to's of feeder kings in Homer so if you go later in Sept/Oct and want some company, please let me know. Will post if go WG t'row. Good luck.
Good things come to those that wade.
