On Sunday I was downrigger trolling for Kokanee in my 13' Revolution, and encountered this 17' motorboat which had broken down.  I towed it back to the boat launch.  I was going about 1.5 mph, so the boat owner trolled while I was towing him.  The picture is pretty backlit, but I didn't feel like towing the boat in a circle in order to get the sun shining from a more photographically desirable direction.

Did he catch anything?
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

I was fishing in the Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir, which has a lot of 14"-16" kokanee, which are big kokanee for Montana.  But the spawning season had started, they were hard to find, and I didn't catch any. The guy I was with got three.  The previous day I caught seven 16"-18" rainbows in Holter Reservoir, kept four, and smoked them.
